I’m loving angels instead

As you might know I’m a lyrics freak and this photo session from last week can’t make you think of any other song than this epic one from when I was in high school and was watching MTV and VH1 every night 😉 Right now I’m not really THAT into Robbie tbh, ha, but back then it was a serious song crush! I even remember tape recording it on the good old cassette tape in my old girls room and then listening to it over and over and over again 😉 Oh em gee, those were the times…

“And through it all she offers me protection
A lot of love and affection
Whether I’m right or wrong
And down the waterfall
Wherever it may take me
I know that life won’t break me
When I come to call, she won’t forsake me
I’m loving angels instead”

Robbie Williams – Angels, 1997.

When it comes to this photo session I’ve got so much inspiration from Jodye Sabatini (@yo.saba.saba on instagram, I’m sure you already know of her) and her totally awesome photography and editing skills. I am totally obsessed with her work and i’m truly a big fan of her way to edit images. These photos of Em are my first attempt to use the dodge and burn tools in Photoshop, and I’m not 100% satisfied with the light editing since I wanted it slightly darker, but to be my first time this will do, and of course, the model herself upgrades a tad poor editing skills from a 5 to a 10 because of her only appearance in the photos makes them divine. The bokeh I did this time is from a brush tool instead of individual circles that I used on the Magic in the woods session here. The thing with all photoshop editing is really about only one thing; practice aaaaaall over and then do it again, and again, and again….. At least if you like to be self taught, as I do. (I’m like this with everything in life) This session needs no photo credit list since the whole outfit is DIY and old thrift finds. 🙂 Have a LOVELY weekend guys! xoxo / Elise & Em
