Starlight in your eyes

Christmas photos at their best, Em looking out the window waiting for Santa in her ruby red velvet dress that my grandma sew to me back in the 80’s. It makes me so happy to see Em in this dress, in general because I love handmade, but in particular because I see this peculiar creature with starlight in her eyes being this mini version of me. Hope you had a magical Christmas! xo

This ^ photo above was the one I chose for blow-up for our living room, I love how it turned out after my slightly edit in PS (photo below). I used the dodge & burn for the background, and sharpened her right eye a bit, otherwise I left it unedited since I really love the natural light (from the window she’s looking out of, on her right side). Here on my other blog Villa Backö where I post pics mostly of our home and interior details, you can see how it looks on the wall. I chose the size 70 x 100 cm to make it a conversation piece and a bold wall detail impossible to miss.
